The Spark will be the first Living Flame, and will signify the coming of an era where the Firelords will light the world aflame. The Firelords are a purely democratic society. All people who are pyromancers(called Firelords) are treated as equals, and every decision is based upon a vote. A council of 19 different representatives signify the different warcamps unified together. Each has no more say than the rest, and they only act as a relay for popular votes made in their warcamp. Every time an important decision must be made for the entire collective of groups, each group will vote amongst themselves for their decision. It is illegal for a Firelord to not vote upon an issue save for extreme cases where an individual could physically not take place in the vote. That being said, Firelords may abstain from a vote by casting a Vote of No Voice, but they must also provide a solid reason to not vote under law. Becuase each vote is considered important, most decisions to not vote are rejected, making a Vote of No Voice a rare occurrence. ![]() I hope to be able to finish the rest of the series to see how Dee Harrison progresses her characters from here.When the decision is made, a random member is selected as the representative to bring the 19 decisions together to see what the entire populace voted for. 'The Firelord's Crown' got 4 Shamrocks from me, and 'Firelord's Heir' successfully gains 4 Shamrocks too. 'Firelord's Heir' had me hooked from start to finish. There were some unexpected twists and turns but these worked so well. The actual story and sub plots blended into each other without leaving the reader confused as to what is happening and to who. The writing style flows well and kept me turning pages. Catching up and watching the main characters develop even more was entertaining and fascinating. I recently caught up with Falath, Rollo & Airen and was happy to see that although some time had passed since I had read 'The Firelord's Crown', it was quite easy to pick up the storyline once again.ĭee Harrison has the talent to weave a world with characters that the readers will come to either love or hate. 'Firelord's Heir' is the sequel to 'The Firelord's Crown' which I read, reviewed and liked, a while back.
